As announced on his blog, Mozilla Corporation CEO John Lilly will undergo surgery in a couple of weeks to “repair the labrum and retension the capsule” in his shoulder.
The surgery comes just after his announcement that he’d step down as CEO later this year. While he’ll only miss one week of work, he’ll be in a sling for 4-6 weeks afterwards, which will likely result in less productivity, and could slow down plans to find his replacement and eventually depart Mozilla.
